I feel very sullen today. The worst of it is that my Canon Digital Video Camcorder and Camera gave it up today! I have had problems with it working for a while now and I figured that it was because of the battery. Not the case, it sounds like something has been knocked loose and it wont even turn on, not even to load my most recent pictures onto my computer. It couldn't be because I haul it everywhere with me and force it to be in the cold and jammed into my pocket. Anyway, I am bumbed because no more digital pictures for the time being.
This event caused me to panic a little about only having six weeks left before baby boy arrives and so much to do to prepare for him. I now have to buy a new camera on top of everything else on my list, including finding a bassinet to buy or borrow. Then I started worrying about my time spent with Saige and how she was going to handle not having my COMPLETE attention. I am super excited to meet him but I really want to cherish the few weeks I have left to give Saige some undivided love. We even painted our toes and fingernails the other day! Those of you who know me well know that this is not on the top of my priority list.
Anyway, I NEED YOUR HELP! Please comment and let me know if you have a recommendation for a great camera that is not too expensive or ones that you would avoid. I am debating about not getting a camcorder/camera mix and just getting a camera that takes quality pictures and also video clips. This way it could be smaller and handle being in my pocket instead of lugging a camera bag and a diaper bag! ALSO, if anyone has a bassinet that they don't want to worry about storing that I could borrow, or your done having kids and want to sell it, or if you know where there is a good, inexpensive one to buy let me know. Thanks for your help!

Hi brittney,
It is Amber. I just saw your post and had to comment. First I have a bassinet(sp)?. It is wood frame white covering and is Eddie Bauer Brand. You are welcome to borrow it. I borrowed one for Natalee and bought this one for Noah. It is just in my spare bedroom taking up space so let me know what you think! They do come in handy and I think are a must have. Now on the camera. I have been through 3 digital cameras so far. I have even spent tons of money on a nice nikon with lots of zoom and megapixels, but they all have crashed like yours. So the one I have now is a Kodak 10 Mega Pixels 3 x Optical and it has lasted the longest so far and totally does the job. My kids have even dropped it a few times. I got it at Sams Club a year ago for around $100.00. It even comes in fun colors. So i would highly reccomend it! Good Luck getting ready and call me seriously about the bassinet~! Sorry this comment is so long.)
I'm no help on the bassinet, but as for cameras maybe. I got mine 2 yrs ago form Sharon and loved it. The kids have dropped and I have, the pics are great and you can take movie clips up tp 10-12 mins. Olympus- 5.0 megapixels,all-weather, hyperCrystal 2.5"LCD. I love it. Its the only digital camera I have ever had. If you need help getting ready for the baby just call. I would love to help.
hi brittney, it's ashlee parry. if someone else is going to use amber's bassinett, i have a cradle you could borrow? it's on wheels but probably not quite as portable as a bassinett. it was nice to have right next to our bed when max was tiny though. i would definitely let you use it if you can't find anything else! we got it new at stork landing, it is a dark cherry wood finish and has a mattress and i even have white and blue mattress coversheets for it. just let me know what you think:)
