SWINGING! Lots and lots of swinging and playing at every park in the valley, including our neighbors swing set that Saige likes to sneak over to and this park at Willow Park. We've spent a lot of time at the school park, behind her daddy's school, when we go to watch our cousins in Laketown and of course the awesome tree house in my parents back yard. Yay for parks and fun places for kids to play!
I was hoping to make it to Hoogle Zoo this summer...maybe we still will this fall hopefully BUT Willow Park Zoo is always a treat. Especially when we can get daddy to tag along!
Every time we go there, different animals seem to put on a show and catch our attention. This day the pelicans were particularly entertaining because they stayed right next to the fence and acted like they were almost interacting with us. It was really cool also to see the albino porcupine actually awake and eating instead of sleeping. No matter what though...the kids are ecstatic and loving every animal!
We also managed to make a couple dips in the pool! We haven't spent much time in a pool but these couple of trips were enough to get Saige over her fear of putting her head in the water. I use to be able to get away with getting the kids in the tub to wash their bodies but not their hair...NOT A CHANCE NOW! Saige is like a little fish trying to float and swim in the tub like she did in the pool. There is nothing as refreshing as swimming in a nice clean pool that you have all to yourself and not have to deal with sand or people. Thanks daddy and grandma for joining us at the pool! And thanks to our segregate grandparents, Ike and Jan Salzar, for letting us come to their pool at the Sweetwater Trailer Park.
