SAIGE IS 5!
I am so thankful for this little girly! She has grown into such a fabulous little helper. She is so busy, always playing, crafting or helping. She loves to make her own magazines or books about fairies, princesses, animals and this week turkeys. She makes these by taping together my printer paper and drawing pictures and writing letters all over, just like you see on a story book page. She is quite creative. She just makes me smile. I love how she is a "go-get-er" as I always send her to grab the phone, the Binky, a diaper, the burp rag, etc. She prides herself in being so quick and she is. She helps her brother pick up his toys...now if I could get her to pick up her own craft messes with out being threatened about loosing that privilege? I also love the joy and excitement that she has for learning and for school, always looking forward to the next letter she can learn and the fun crafts she can make. There are so many things that warm my heart about her.
I am so thankful that God blessed me with this little princess!
This year for her birthday party she wanted to have girls and do a princess party, though she occasionally mentioned she wanted Austin, Noah and Carsen to come...some of her boy buddies. We went with princess. However, we decided to go specifically with Princess and the Frog for her cake, mostly because she wanted the alligator and Ray but loves Tiana too. I was super excited about the cake, baked the layers and some cupcakes the day before and froze them. My mom bought these cool castle towers and I got a bunch of different purple and green cake decorating accents. The day of her party turned out to be a bit more rushed and I didn't get to spend as much time on it as I would have liked, thanks goodness Aunt Brookie and my mom were there to help me through it together. Brook also wore a Belle dress, which totally excited the girls.
We had to move the party to my parents house in Laketown because we had a series of several storms come barry us with snow and the roads and parking in Bridgerland are already challenging. In addition, a huge blizzard was predicted and kept family and a few friends away, but it ended up kinda fizzling out in Bear Lake anyway. It is always something with her birthday. Last year there was an avalanche in Logan Canyon that kept some family away. We had tons of birthday cheer as it was by having the friend party with lots of games, food and fun followed by a party with my family with more food, presents and fun. She was one happy little birthday girl!
Happy Birthday Saige!
