I love Easter! Despite it being early in March with tons of snow still on the ground and a chill in the air, it is such a refreshing holiday. I am so thankful for my Savior and the Atonement and the opportunity to reflect and honor what he has done for us. I even appreciate the commercialized part of it, the eggs, the flowers, the little chicks and bunnies all represent a new start and a fresh beginning. We decorated eggs with the Smith's and aunt Brookie came up to help too. We had a blast! Sunday after finding eggs and stuffing several peanut butter cups in our mouths we sent daddy away to work at Beaver. This year with Ridge being so young we didn't attend church but I still got the kids dressed up in their church clothes and attempted to take pictures. I only got one before Saige hip thrust him off her lap and refused to sit still for a picture or two. Then we headed to Grandma Paulers and Grandpa Willies for Easter dinner. Aunt Kayla and Brookell hid the eggs outside on the partially melted lawn. The kids had a blast finding the eggs and of course eating all the candy. I enjoyed watching them from the front porch step and soaking up the sun. It was a beautiful Easter day!
