Welcome Little Man
Labor was induced a week early at 9:00am March 4, 2008. It started out pretty slowly until Dr. Noorda broke my water at about 12:30, then my contractions really kicked in. The anethesiologist arrived and hour later to give me the epidural, just in time because the contractions were getting pretty intense. He had a horrible time getting it to thread in my vertibrae and had to try in a couple of different spots. WOW, that was honestly the most painful part and I have the bruses to prove it! After it finally started to numb me I was definately grateful. I didn't push the button for any extra juice because I wanted to be able to still feel the pressure and push effectively without being totally loopy after like I was with Saige. I went from a dialation of 4 to a 10 in about an hour and a half. We had to wait to start pushing until Dr. Noorda got there at about 3:50pm. OH, I could feel so much pressure, especially on my tailbone! I started pushing and totally popped my tailbone. I figured it would only be par for the course if I'd brake my tailbone too! Luckily, no problem there at all. I pushed hard for about 5 minutes and voila Ridge was born at 3:59pm. I was elated at how much easier it was the second time around and emmidiately thought "I could do this again." CRAZY! He weighed 8 lbs. 2 oz. and 20 1/2 inches long. Initially I thought he looked just like Saige but with more examination I've decided that he has my ears and a little bit of my chin. I am hoping he keeps his dark hair and so far his eyes look like they are going to be dark like Cody's too. It was an amazing experience! We feel so blessed to have two healthy children. Bad news: we didn't get our triplets. I still have two kidney stones to pass as their convinence. We are adjusting as well as could be expected. Though Saige didn't want to even look at Ridge in the hospital, she has since become so loving and protective of her new baby brother. She is so good for me and will be a wonderful big sister.
Thanks to everyone for your love, care, and concern. We have so many people in our lives that we are extremely grateful to. THANK YOU FOR MAKING OUR HEARTS SO FULL!

I enjoyed my 15 seconds of holding the little one. I will make it back up there to spend more time with you and the kids. Congrats again and please let me know if there is anything I can do.
hksdyHi, This is Kerrie, Candice's sister, I saw your link on her blog and wanted to see if you had your baby yet. Congratulations!!! Ridge was born exactly 2 months after our Colin to the day. Ridge is precious and the pictures are absolutely beautiful. I wish you a quick recovery! Hopefully we will see the cute baby next time we're in Bear Lake.
