Our BIG Landscaping Project

Cody and I have been in our house for five years now. Each year we try to do at least one little project, which has been mostly planting some trees here and there and building the garden box. This summer/fall we decided to try to beautify the front yard. I started by digging, raking and more digging to try to get rid of weeds and grass and find some buried treasures(ROCKS) before we started adding stuff on top. Then we pushed, carried and piled rocks. Cody and my dad hauled in dirt. We planted trees. Hauled more big rocks with the help of our neighbor Neil Johnson. Then I got some awesome flower starts from Tara McMullins beautiful garden. I am hoping that they are all a variety that the deer and squirrels don't like?!? Here is a picture of it's current state. There is still more I'd like to do...BUT that may have to wait until spring.
