Cody works SO much and SO hard for us! We hate that he has to be gone so much but LOVE that he always makes time to make us feel special and is providing for our needs. I really appreciate his efforts to be a good dad and to give his kids some attention and quality time. In the winter months Cody teaches school, instructs at Beaver Mt. and is going to graduate school in the evenings to get his Master's degree in Education. I appreciate Cody's encouragement and support for me to be a better mother and a team player. I know he would like to be home more and there are days when I would like to get out for an hour or six, but we make a good team and push forward trying to do the best we can to take care of these precious gifts we have, though I admit I am looking forward to a little help on SUNDAYS!
These are some of my favorite moments that I have captured of our much anticipated Daddy Time!
Cody gets to spend REAL time with Kaeda whenever I have meetings for primary, scouts or a baptism but can be caught cuddling her from time to time and even catching a little nap together from time to time.
These boys both have a love for animals and the outdoors! I love love love to see them playing together and Ridge asking Cody to make all of the animals sounds and discuss fact about each one.
Saige and I have caught up with dad a few times at work at Beaver Mt. It has been a special moment for them to be able to ride the lift together and catch a few runs. Saige is always so delighted when daddy gets home and can't wait to tell him everything she did and show him all of her creative projects for the day.
I even got to sneak up to Beaver to spend the afternoon alone with Cody. We were married for 5 years before we were able to have children. We had SO much fun being carefree and playing hard! I miss those days sometimes BUT so many of those years were filled with worry and heartache because we so wanted to have a family so badly and I wouldn't trade what we have now for a minute, maybe a second HAHAHA. Now we have been married for 11yrs and have 3 beautiful blessed children! They bring so SO MUCH JOY to our lives! I am so thankful I have had the opportunity to be a mother and I am so grateful for Cody's support. He truly makes me a better person. He helps me to be more patient and to put things in perspective. I am grateful for days like this day too, to remind me of our love for each other aside from the challenges of parenthood. However, the times I look forward to the most, is when we can all be together as a family, spending time with our daddy!
WE LOVE YOU DADDY!
YOU ARE THE BEST!
Keep up the good work!
