As a family we have taken out our boat only twice this summer. The first time there were big white cap swells and NOT a smooth ride and then my wheel fell off the Yukon on our way home. Oh boy! This adventure was much more enjoyable. The lake was glassy and it was so warm and we were all together. :) The highlight for me was swimming and Cody letting me take all the time I wanted. I think I stayed in for at least 20minutes and even convinced Saige to come in a couple times and Ridge made one brave attempt but hopped right back in the boat. Then we started trolling. It wasn't too long and we got a BIG bite and sure enough it was a whooper! We were all ecstatic! How fun to catch such a big fish! Saige loved touching it and washing it and helping dad cut it up. By the time we got off the lake it was pretty late so we enjoyed pizza for dinner and then ate this tasty beauty the next day. Fantastic Fall Family Day!!
