Kindergarten Kid

All summer long Saige asked when summer would be over so she could go to Kindergarten. Even though these first pictures are of the testing day, she was super stoked, wanted the picture and the backpack and all!
She wishes she could ride her bike(without training wheels) to school like her cousins who live in Laketown, but she settles for a few quick laps before getting in the car.
This is where Saige sits in her fun classroom!
Saige's Kindergarten Teacher, Ms. Johnson! She is so sweet and Saige loves her teacher!
The P.E. teacher is her favorite! She even gets to call him Dad. ;) I love that she can ride with him to school sometimes and keep an eye out for her and be there at the school if she ever needed anything. Makes it a little easier to send my little lady to the wolves.
Principle Motta is quite fond of Saige. He is such a great principle!
Lucky Saige she also gets to have her grandpa at the school. He has visited her several times during lunch.
Then the big official first day rolled around and she could not wait! I couldn't dim her smile and excitement if I tried, she was absolutely beaming!
She says, "Mom, It is going to be way better than good. It is going to be SOOO COOOOOL!" She also assured me, "Don't worry mom, I will see you when I get back." No hesitation in the least, she woke up before dawn as usual, dressed herself and got ready, posed for a pic, hopped in the car, ran onto the bus and hardly looked back!" It has been the same every school day since. She is so excited about learning and LOVES to see her friends. Every day she tells me about her day like it was the best day ever, playing with different fun friends at recess, leaning, etc. Today she runs off the bus and jumps into my arms with the hugest smile, "Mom, guess what???? Trevor kissed me on the lips! He says I am his girls friend!" WHAT?!?!?!? She is in Kindergarten and had her first kiss on the lips!?!?!? Breathe, Breathe, Breathe...so we had a calm discussion about how to say NO and that she needs to wait until she is older...much older! ;) I can't believe how quickly she has grown up! I love her soooo much! I am so excited for most of what she is learning, could do without the "Missed me, missed me, now you've got to kiss me" and such... but glad that she is LOVING being a kindergarten kid!
