Fun Fall Times

Watching the BEAUTIFUL leaves change to brilliant golds, oranges and red is always GREAT!
We have been blessed with a few moose sightings, including a bull moose, a momma with twins and this cow and calf!
Our neighbors, the Day's, brought the kids pumpkins and we seized the moment and carved them as a family on this warm fall day.
Interestingly, this was Cody's first time carving a pumpkin that he could remember. About time for his first go at it. He helped Ridge make a scary face and I helped Saige make a happy rainbow face. :)
We worked together on our yard, pulling weeds, planting flowers, seeds, bulbs and building this new flower bed on the north side of our house. The kids love digging in and getting dirty! They might be bored if we every got our landscaping done and they didn't have plenty of dirt to dig.
It is always a treat for the kids to have dad return with a kill, even if they are already ready for bed, they can't wait to run out and greet their dad and check out his kill. No deer or elk this year but some geese and fish.
We have taken advantage of the warm days by riding bikes and jumping on the trampoline at grandma and grandpa Williamsons. Ridge has got quiet the Kung-Fu kick down, with facial expressions and all!
Cody and I went as Captain Jack Black and Elizabeth Swan to a couples costume party and had a great time. I even won best female costume.
The witch's night out was a blast! Always good to get together with the ladies for some good food and funny times!
The kids did the Governor's Summer Reading challenge and earned some kids meals at McDonald's, Chuck-0-Rama, and Sizzler's. So we decided while Cody was away at a basketball game that we would head to Logan to eat at McDonald's and go to the pumpkin walk. First we went to Aunt Mindie's work to get our Yukon serviced and inspected. Then we finally found the pumpkin walk and to our disappointment it had already been cleaned up! So our plan B...CARS 2! The kids always think it is a special treat to see a movie in the theater! They were ecstatic and had fun. Kaeda...not so much! We spent the majority of movie up and down the isle and in the back or even outside when she was really loud and naughty. BUT it was great to have a date with my kiddos! We visited nana at Sam's and picked up a few groceries before heading home. We had fun just being together and singing along to the Rio soundtrack and Wicked in the car over and back. Anytime with my kiddos is a GREAT time! :)
Cody with his best friend, Abel, the wonder dog!
Cody is superman. He has been so busy with getting his Master's Degree, teaching school, coaching football and now right into basketball, keeping up with breaks at the golf course and getting it put to bed for the winter, trying to do a little hunting and now preparing for Beaver Mt. Then when we think we have a minute with him, he gets a call that he needs to help move someone in the ward or go split wood. HE IS BUSY! We miss him when he is away. He does try to be a mindful husband and good dad and do as much as he can when he is with us. Even if that means watching Tangled for the 20th time. :)
Look at these two cuties! We enjoyed a visit from the Pugmires! Finley and Kaeda didn't interact too much but they are both so darling and I can see them being great friends. Just wish we lived closer to each other. Maybe one day?
