Kaeda @ a Yearish!

Kaeda...our growing girl. One year olds create such wonder and excitement and mischief!
This is our "Girlie" our "Kaeda Kin" our "Tin Tin Tin" our "Wittle Wady"
She says "Mom, "Momma", "Mom, Mom, Mom" really well, she use to say "Dad and Da Da Da" really well too, but now when she sees her daddy is is more of a "Papa", which is cute! When she sees cute toys, stuffed animals and especially real animals she gets sooo excited and spouts off, "bop, bapa, papa," and various grunts and grouns and "hahahahah" 's and "hmmm"'s. :) I love her little "Tooka tooka tooka" sound, kinda sounds like "Tickle". She has quiet a bit to say and it is darling and we are all ears! Lots of little precious Kaedaisms. We can't help but be attentive to here squeals and reminders that, "I am here and the most important thing right NOW!"

She is really good at pointing to whatever she wants. She does a cute grabby fist when she wants more or something. She is starting to wave bye bye and blow kisses that melt my heart. I love when she plays peek-a-boo and peeks through her cute little fingers. It is especially cute when she is standing behind a chair or something and she kinda jumps as she peaks around and says "ahhh" for boo. She has the cutest little bouncy dance and I LOVE her little laugh! No one gets her laughing like Ridge and Saige, they really delight her! :) I appreciate their help and entertainment...most of the time.
She is getting a little more hair, starting to grew pretty quick now. She is needing her little bangs trimmed and I already cut her little bat wings a couple month ago. She has enough now that I can put a little pony tail at the top of her head, which is adorable! She loves to pull all her "Pretties" out of her hair and then try to put them back in all by herself.

She is a good eater. She is pretty independent and wants to feed herself. She eats everything that we eat, just smaller or softer. I love when she holds her mouth open like a little bird. It is fun too when she want to try to feed me or her siblings. She is pretty accurate and is so excited when we take the food she is feeding us. Kaeda nursed a few days past a year, which I LOVED and I will miss, well sometimes. She made the transition to cows milk and a sippy cup without a hitch.

She has more personality than ever, she is ruling our roost. She is getting what she wants far too often and needs to learn how to share with her brother and sister and Mom needs to learn not to make them always give her everything to keep her quiet. :0)

She has a darling smile with four little teeth. Two on top and two on bottom. She has a cute little flirty shoulder shrug and shy tuck into mom. I love her "Monkey Face" when she scrunches up her face and breaths out her nose. She will occasionally do an elephant trumpet. Her squinty eyes, which are maybe an attempt to blink, and so smile invoking!

She is getting really busy and getting into everything. Her absolutely favorite thing to do right now is stand up on the stools and brush her teeth with every ones toothbrushes! We have tried to keep them out of her reach but doesn't always happen. She loves to try to put on ANY shoes or put them on her hands and crawl around.
....AND Drumrolll....She has taken her first steps!!!! She was at my feet, like usual, as I was working out on my black mat downstairs. When she stood up and just started walking toward me!!!! We were elated and had a major celebration! Every day she gets a little more confident, a little more stable and a little bit cuter (if that is even possible?) She has been going up the stairs for quiet some time now but has braved the going down and is starting to get pretty good, I stay pretty close still when she comes down, just in case.

Most of all I love here tender hug and little pat-pat on my arm or back. I wish she was more kissy. She went through a stage of trying slobbery, eat-ya, kisses but then quit all together. We share a tender little soft head bonk-a-bonk that I cherish. We are loving her to pieces! What a sweet blessing she is in our lives!!!!
