We've come a long way...

Beginning of the school year!
1st day of Kindergarten!
Saige absolutely could not wait. She was so ready and excited for school. I was nervous and not wanting to let my little helper and best friend go. I gave her rides to the bus and watched her sprint to the bus, literally, she had the absolutely most adorable run to the bus, passing up everybody at the bus stop to get on the bus first! Oh might heart would skip a beat at her excitement to get to school. :) At the beginning of the year Saige could not even step onto the bus. She would kneel down on the first step and then step on. So cute, so little...my little pixie!! And to my delight, she would get off the bus with the same enthusiasm racing back to me and my arms to tell me all about her adventure with a smile. Lucky for Saige she was able to ride to and from school with her daddy too and really enjoyed that time she got to spend with him.
She was so excited to meet her teacher Ms. Johnson and was determined to do everything she asked!

Then...the year flew by and Saige exceeded all of our expectations! She was so well behaved! She learned so much! She read like crazy! She even was awarded a certificate for the "Bookworm of the class". She crafted every spare minute! She won a prize for the coloring contest for Zions bank! She loves to count and write numbers! She is one smart and amazing girl! She also loved P.E. and having her daddy be her teacher. Couldn't be happier!
End of the school year!
Saige has grown so much! Even on the last day of school, she still hopped of the bus and ran to me with a smile! During the year we did have a talk about not running so fast to the bus that she butt in front of people getting in line. She would start running and then halt as if she could hear my voice in her head saying, "Don't butt in line" and then I would feel guilty, wishing I wouldn't have diminished her innocent enthusiasm to get on the bus. Oh well, got to teach them sometime. It was still precious. ;) I got adapted to the schedule and some running around but still never got use to her being gone and always looked forward to her coming home.
But my oh my, look how she has grown. So tall! So mature looking! I took this picture of Saige with Zailey and her teacher in the last day of centers that I helped with. At the beginning of the year Saige wasn't too much taller than Zailey, but she definitely is now.
Thanks to Ms. Johnson for all that she did for Saige! Thanks to Saige for her pure love of learning and always doing her best!! Saige is no longer a Kindergartner! She can't wait for 1st grade!
