Harvest Time

Our garden adventure continued...after snow on June 11th and the dang ground squirrels our garden didn't do as well as we had hoped. We were anticipating being able to pick our own pumpkins from the patch and enjoy many more veggies. On the bright side we did grow these nice zucchini squash, lots of green tomatoes and some sweet corn. It was a lot of time planting and watering for not much harvest. I think if I am to do it next year, I'll have to invest in some fencing to go completely over the whole thing until the fetching ground squirrels go in there burrows. OR...plant raspberries because our little patch in the front of the house did do really well this year and the squirrels seemed to leave those alone.
