Ridge is 6 Months

September 4th, Ridge turned 6 months! (I am a little behind in my blogging)I took this picture of him that morning as we started eating a container of sweet potatoes. My pediatrician said to wait until he was 6 months to start feeding him food and to skip the rice cereal. However a few week prior we were having mashed potatoes with our fish for dinner. I couldn't believe how loud he was squawking and how hard he was trying to get to my plate. I thought, "Couldn't hurt" and gave him a taste. He downed my whole helping of potatoes without so much as a spill. Obviously he was ready for foods. So ever since then I have been feeding him a bit when we eat. He loves the veggies, but doesn't care for the fruits. I guess this is a good thing since I don't exactly want him craving the sweets. He doesn't seem to have a problem with anything! I still exclusively breast feed because I don't want to risk another allergic reaction from formula. However, I am considering starting to try a sippy cup for diluted juices and water. Any opinions on that? Let me know.

We just had his well check and immunizations on the 15th. He is currently weighing in at 22 lbs. 15 oz. which is actually on the 97th percentile instead of clear off the charts. So he is tapering off a little bit. He is 27 1/2 inches tall, in the 75th percentile and his head is measuring in the 80th. So, yes, still and very big boy. I love every every single bit! He is such a darling little boy, so smart, so healthy, and so lovable. (Ya, a little bit prejudice I know but I'm the mommy:)

Had to snap this one too earlier that morning of Saige looking out the window. She is so concerned about the house being built by us and insists that it is our new house and that daddy's friends are building it. As we were discussing the construction project here came the turkey's followed by a two-point buck just acting like one of them grazing along. I took video but it was dark and I can't get my videos to load well. Anyway, she was pretty excited and stood in the window seal watching for what seemed like a 1/2 hour. I so enjoy her inquisitiveness.

Your kids are cuties! Have you noticed that there is about 20 new baby turkeys? We just love seeing them. What happened with Ridge and formula? Emerson had formula problems, among other food allergies.
