If it is quiet and I am not sure were Saige is...this is how she is usually found. She can sit and look through her books for hours. Her latest thrill is to stack her books up to make towers. So this is what she was doing while I was preparing for preschool.
When our friends arrived, we played with all of Saige's toys/books that had anything to do with farm, food, footballs. We had a little lesson on farms and food. For our adventure, we went on a walk to find 5 different colors of leaves and/or rocks to put in our baggies. While eating apple slices for our snack out on the deck, we read "How to make an Apple Pie". Then we colored our letter "F" and number "5" and practiced counting objects to five and colored a farm picture, which Saige choice to put herself in time-out on the stairs instead of coloring another picture (LOL). We also talked about what animals do in the fall to prepare for winter and read a little story out of a kids National Geographic. The kids were probably the very most excited about being able to pick an ear of corn off the stock from our garden and to be able to plant their very own corn seed.
They all played so well together! What darling little ones! I was happy with how our first little traveling preschool proceeded and look forward to the rest!
What did I do with little man during the festivities? Keri was there to help but Ridge was pretty content to play and observe. Saige, being the youngest and in the comfort of her own home, wasn't always interested in doing all the activities together. Notice in one of the group pictures she is absent because she refused to get leaves, only rocks at that point, and didn't want to be in the picture. Overall she had a great time playing with her new friends and wanted to leave when everyone else was leaving. I really quite enjoyed myself and was glad to be able to provide that experience for Saige.

You did a great job. That is why I had you go first because you set the bar high. Once again I need those pics. I need to start bringing my camera to things.
