Park and Pipe

THE RESULTS: 2 out of the 20 people who signed up for the Park and Pipe Clinic ended up being accredited to coach/teach the Park and Pipe. Cody was not among the two. However Scott Hoover from Beaver was! Way to go Stinky...way to represent Beaver and yourself of course! Cody was not too disappointed though and came away much improved in the park and had his first true experience with the pipe and did quite well considering. He is motivated to go for it again next year because he had an absolute BLAST! Tough break Cody...having to ride Park City Resort for three days straight in the sunshine and with some of the best snowboarders in the Intermountain West. :0)
We are proud of your effort and dedication Cody!

On Tuesday I drove down to Park City with Cody to ride with the wives while the guys went to the AASI Park and Pipe clinic! The clinic went all day both Tuesday and Wednesday and the assessment to be park accredited is today, Thursday. So I will let you know how it turns out! It was so cool to be down there all together Tuesday and to ride at Park City for the first time. We were able to get in a few runs and watch the guys rock the HUGE half pipe and huck themselves over huge table tops and jib on the bazillion boxes and rails. Park City has great terrain parks! It was cool to be able to make a few runs, then catch up with the guys and check out their sweet tricks. I loved being able to spend some time with Cody!

When we first got there it was only 17 degrees, but lots of new fun powder! Unfortunately it was too cold for my camera battery and it was dead before I had the opportunity to take any really good pictures. Then it warmed up and turned out to be such a pleasant day. There were a couple of lifts that stayed open until 7:30pm so we were able to make a few runs all together after the clinic was over at 4:00. Then another couple, the Barron's, and Cody and I went to dinner and a little shopping in Park City. It was great to get away for the day and be with the love of my life! Then I had to drive Cody and Chris all the way to Midway where everyone else was staying. So that put me back to Bear Lake pretty late but totally worth it!

Then back to work at the Beav' the next day! I have to say...though it is cool to go to other resorts...I LOVE BEAVER MT! It feels like coming home. Plus it was ladies day which was a blast and I got to teach my little sister Candice's group! It was so nice and warm, we just couldn't resist taking an extra couple runs together before heading back to our children at grandma's house. I am so appreciative to my mom and Candice for watching my kids so that I can work a couple of days a week at Beaver. AND to Terra for helping out with my kids on Tuesday so I could go with Cody to Park City!

Hey- you are welcome! The kids were great! I am glad you had a good time! It's fun to do things without the kids here and there!

It was so fun to ride with you Brit! I'm glad that you were there. The clinicians were asking where the other wives were on Wednesday. I pretty much just hung around and took pictures. I'll post about it, and put them up on facebook too!
