It's Inevitable...Change!
Until the other day, Saige had never really gotten into my make-up. I am pretty sure reading our AtoZ "Naughty Little Monkeys" book had a little to do with it, the monkey starting with the letter "M" makes a mess with her mommy's make-up. However, when I asked her what she was doing she said, "I am getting older now and I needed some sparkles on my eyes." Oh My! It's inevitable but not at 3!
I was loving Ridge's long locks and the way his hair would curl around his ears and duck tail in the back. HA HA! Yet, when he started having more nappy not so cute hair days...a hair cut was inevitable!
He didn't really appreciate the clippers but he was sure proud of his new do when it was all gone. He looks so much older to me now...which is inevitable too!
Saige's darling friend Brynlee handed down her cute little Ariel bike to Saige. We had a couple really good rides on it. One day at my parents house she was having a blast cruising around in the driveway with her cousins. I was doing the dishes and saw from the front window the plastic spokes on the front wheel just bust apart and Saige topple over. I rushed outside. Saige hops up and says, "Mom did you see me? I was going so fast! So fast that I broke my bike!" With out skipping a beat she hopped on the nearest tricycle and continued going fast.
Of course with as much fun as she was having on her bike we couldn't just let her go without one...so she got her new Sea Star Huffy and an awesome Giro helmet, which I found at the DI for only $5. She is having a complete blast riding her bike!
We are loving life and all the inevitable change that comes with it!
