I love the 24th of July Celebration in Laketown!
Who doesn't enjoy a good old fashioned chuckwagon breakfast?
It's a bit like a reunion, seeing old friends and family members.
I enjoyed visiting and seeing everyone pitch in to make the event successful.
I kinda missed digging in and helping after I did for so many year when I was in YW's.
We always watch the best little candy parade from my parents yard. Ridge was pretty cozy grandpa.
I imagine Ridge was thinking, "More Candy? What am I suppose to do with this?"
Great Grandma Weston looked lovely and patriotic and we enjoyed her company as well as Dan & Deb, Dixon & RaNae, and Patty & Ashley. We sat and visited in the shade and enjoyed a little refreshing rainstorm that came over.
I sure missed Grandpa Weston this day! One of my favorite memories was watching him and Howard Lamborn drive an old army car in this parade several years ago. I remember feeling such appreciation for my grandpa's patriotism and sacrifices. I remembered him being such a tall, strong and kind man. I love and miss my grandpa very much!
