So FUN to be a mom...

These are some things that have happened lately that just make me grin ear to ear about being Saige and Ridge's mommy:

SAIGE: "I can see so many things in the clouds, there is a dragon, there's a dog, Mom, does Jesus live on that cloud?"

SAIGE: "Dear Heavenly Father, Help us to be good and nice. Help us to feel the Spirit that is in our body and to listen to the Holy Ghost. Help us to sleep in our own beds all night."

SAIGE: "Mom, can I please have a sunburn when we get home?" Meaning a Capri Sun.

RIDGE: "Mom, can you write 14, 8, 9, 10?" Then I proceed to write 1 and ask him what it is he says, "ONE", I write 2 and he says "NINE", I write 3 and he says "THREE". He is such a smarty. He loves to count and always wants me to write numbers. He is also getting really good at recognizing colors.

RIDGE: "Ridge do it!" Ridge loves to do everything that big sister does and by himself. He is getting quite independent and wants to drink from a big boy cup, help clean up, and do puzzles by himself.

RIDGE: "I am so fast!" Ridge loves to run, play and explore. When we go on walks he likes to grab my hand and say "Mom, RUN, Faster!" He will run and say, "Mom, I am so Fast!"

RIDGE: "No" UGH! I have had to use time out a little more with Ridge lately because he has decided it is cool to say "No" when he is asked to do something. Where did my cute do everything I say as soon as I ask boy go? However, when Saige doesn't listen he is quick to say, "Listen to your mother, Saige!" Ironic.

Not a day goes by that I don't just marvel at these precious little gifts I have and pray that I can be a more patient and loving mother, focusing on the important things in their lives and nag a lot less.
