We attended the 1st Annual Bear Lake Heritage Days. The kids were so excited to "Cowboy Up"! Of course mom loves to dress them up and go all out too. We enjoyed watching the parade with mountain men, native Americans, show girls, wagons and animals, but our personal favorites were Brynlee and Dalin Pugmire on the Shetland pony. Well, besides the candy of course. The petting zoo was a big hit. Saige and Ridge absolutely LOVE animals and could have stayed there petting them all day! Our favorite was the tiny baby Shetland pony and the alpacas/lamas that Greg helped them pet. We enjoyed cruising around checking out the booths and visiting with friends. We watched the fun little western shoot out and Ridge even got to hold the cowboys gun, he thought that was pretty cool. Ridge was tuckered right out and slept on his daddy in multiple positions and places while Saige got her face painted and fished. She was too freaked out to actually get in the pond and catch one herself, then she didn't even want to get near one when a sweet little girl tried to give her one. Then all of the sudden she turned into her normal self and manhandled, poked and prodded the poor fish to death. She couldn't wait to have her daddy clean it out so we could take it home and eat it!
