We had the pleasure of going up bright and early on Ridge's bday to the sinks to watch Nana race her dogs. Nana has 10 dogs but races in the 4 dog team sled races. We just barely got there to see her take off. Then we had fun playing in the snow while we waited for her to return. She was pretty speedy and ended up taking 2nd! We were so excited to be there to support her and cheer her on. Nana gave Ridge a cool Elmo cake and cupcakes from Sam's, where she works. Nana's bday is the very next day so we took our gifts for her there too. Saige spent a lot of time creating a special "Happy Birthday Nana: Animal Book"! We had a great time hanging out with Nana, drinking hot cocoa, eating fishy crackers, and I pulled the kids around a bunch on Nana's sled. It was a beautiful warm day...a great way to celebrate a bday!
