Ridge's Big Day On The Slopes

We first exposed Ridge to skiing when he was one, we took him a few times last year, and a few times this year. It wasn't until this day, just after turning 3, that he really became independent. We still have to help him a bit on the steep parts but on the rope tow and magic carpet he can totally hold his own snowplow to slow down and stop, he can turn, he can get up on his own when he falls and he smiles all the while! He loves skiing and is really naturally GREAT. He loves to ride the lift and the magic carpet and the highlight of his day at the Beav'...getting lunch in the lodge.  He is such a fun little man! So excited to get him going. Saige was a super good mentor, she encouraged him to follow her and was always telling him, "Good Job BUDDY!"

We took the kids one last time on the last Friday before Beaver Mt. closed. It was perfectly warm and sunny. We had a blast soaking up the sun and skiing in our jackets. We enjoyed being with daddy and even took Ridge on his first ride on Harry's Dream lift and down Gentle Ben. He was a trooper but it definately wiped him right out. What a wonderful time spent together! We LOVE to ski!
