Happy Birthday Ridge: Take Four & Maybe Final?

Birthday Prep...I was excited about the pennet banner I cut out of paper and sewed on yarn and strung in the kitchen. I baked 3 cakes the day before and ordered Ridge's DRAGON toys off the Internet. Hmm...Well on the day of his bday we spent so much time out playing and celebrating that there wasn't too much other preping. His gifts STILL haven't come, so he will get some late bday presents. I hurried and threw on some soup and started decorating the DRAGON castle cake. The cake didn't get as much attention and detail as I laid awake at night thinking about, but he loved it! He wanted a "Scary DRAGON cake with spiders and ghosts!" Well we got a scary DRAGON and spiders but had to have snakes instead of ghosts. I don't think he was disappointed!
Ridge was excited to have so many people come and celebrate his 3rd bday!  The Pugmire's (his buddy Dalin, Brynlee, Keri and Darin) who gave him a cool colored dragon and a $2 bill. The Smith's, gave him a AWESOME steel dump truck.  GRANDMA, who always spoils and gave him play clothes, swimming suit, a bike helmet and pads and little noisy making chomping dinosaurs that Saige has taped wings on to make them DRAGONS. Aunt Mindie and Jordyn drove over to come to his party and brought him some candy and a Buzz Light Year bubble blower. SAIGE...bless her little creative heart...made Ridge an awesome "Ridge's Nature Book" and Cody and I gave him "How to Train Your Dragon" and "Shrek:Final Chapter" and some truck books.
So the "Maybe Final?" part in the Title is because his cool DRAGON and bucket of DRAGONS that I ordered on-line have still not come!
I snagged this awesome #3 sparkler to top off our night...our fireworks grand finale!
:) It put a smile on all of our faces to watch Ridge waving his #3 around. A fun little touch.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY RIDGE!
We Love You!
I would say I can't believe he is 3...but I can't believe he is ONLY 3! He is such a big boy and has been talking so well and doing just about everything big sister does. I have had to remind myself many many times that he was only 2, even though I had already started having him wear 4t clothes long ago! So now he is officially 3! Yet, I still have to remind myself that he is only 3... I love this boy so so much and I hope that I can be the mother that he deserves...he is such a GREAT KID!
Happy Birthday Buddy!
