Pioneer Day!

I look forward to going to Laketown to celebrate Pioneer Day! I am so appreciative of my Grandma Kae and all that she has done to establish roots and heritage for our family. I love her!!!
 The Otter Pop Kids!
It is not summer unless your getting sugared up with these babies!
I love this little parade! It is my absolute favorite! Though small the kids still get plenty of candy! My favorite, wish I had a picture, is the WWII car driven my Howard Lamborn. What a neat guy! Missed seeing my Grandpa, Albert Ivan Weston, riding by his side!
 Kaeda Kitty
 Ridge Man
 Saige Babe
Grandpa Williamson's is the place to be, relaxing under the maple tree! It is just a given that this is where we will join to watch the parade with whomever wants to join. Our crew was small this year! :)
I just can't help the tears welling up in my eyes or the tightness in my chest as I think of the hardships of the pioneers and all they did to sacrifice to get to and settle this beautiful place! So glad for this holiday, a chance for me to refocus my murmuring and be grateful for all that I have and give gratitude to those who made it possible!
