HE GOT THE BIG ONE!!!

Tuesday night we went to the Beaver Mountain Banquet. The food and company were wonderful and it was great to get out. Saige had a BLAST with Papa Corkey and we lugged Ridge with us. He of course didn't have much down time, everyone was anxious to get their hands on him.

The "BIG ONE", the Luella Seeholzer Award, is the most prestigious award one can earn at Beaver Mountian. It is reserved to be presented at the end of the celebration and is held with such pride and honor. The recipients of this award have usually been at the resort for 20+ years and are accomplished in years. It is more esteemed than instructor of the year, which Cody has been awarded in years past. Unexpectedly, when Ted and Marge Seeholzer started reading the description of the recipient for this most prestigious award, Cody's heart started racing and I knew that is was my humble husband. Some of the compliments given to him included his ability to ski, snowboard and telemark, all of which he is very accomplished. He is very professional and thorough with his lessons and is highly requested. He does much to support the reputation of the mountain and encourage business for the industry. Cody is a strong leader and an effective supervisor. A hard worker, more than willing to take his share of lessons and pitch in whenever things need to be done. He goes all out and does it humbly. Cody is the youngest recipient at only 30 years old and has been teaching at Beaver Mountain for 9 years.

I am so proud of my husband. I appreciate his hard work, he has worked seven days a week all winter! He has such a strong work ethic. I am so blessed to be his wife. He takes such good care of us and makes me proud.
WAY TO GO CODY!

Isn't it great when everyone else gets to see a little of what you know and love everyday? I got lucky enough to marry someone like that too. Congrats Cody, I don't know exactly what it all means but it sounds like you should be proud.
