Look Who Turned 3!

I am 3! Me! Saige Leigh! Being that my birthday fell on Sunday, mom woke me up and gave my a beautiful Holiday dress to wear to church. I loved it! I felt like a princess. I was so excited to be 3! I went cheerfully around the house all morning dancing and twirling and holding up 3 fingers.

I was so excited about my Tinker Bell birthday cake! I couldn't stand it. I asked my mom about every minute if I could eat it yet. She kept saying not until the party tonight. So finally after an agonizingly long day the guests soon arrived and I was ready to dig in. However, we had to feed our guests BBQ and I had to eat my dinner too. I was a little nervous as the other kids started to show enthusiasm towards my cake and I wasn't sure I wanted to share.

After singing and blowing out the candle I started in on my very own cake, licking the yummy frosting. Until, my mom said "No" and informed my that we had to cut up my beautiful, colorful cake and share it with our friends. I was under the impression that it was ALL mine. Oh Well! I am learning how to share and it seemed like everyone enjoyed it, which made me happy!

Then it was time to open presents! All my friends were so excited and more than willing to help me open, thanks guys. WOW! It is a good thing mom and dad didn't buy me any toys because I got oodles from everyone else. My My! I have never had so many fairies and princesses in one sitting. Boy was I spoiled! Everyone was so so generous. I was really excited about my new toys and above all worried that the other kids might take them back so I gave them all to cousin Blake to keep safe while I opened more. I had a blast opening up my own presents this year, now that I am 3 I can do so many things on my own. I now have some really really neat toys, activities and essentials. I am excited for when I can have my friends back, maybe just one at a time, to play with me and my new things. Mom is helping me remember who gave me all my special things and to appreciate every one's efforts to make me feel special on my birthday! It was great to feel so loved. I know that there were some that couldn't be there, but I felt their love through phone calls, gifts and cards. THANK YOU EVERYONE!
